Cabin comforts
From Trevipedia
Two of the key features of Trev are low mass and simplicity, and so the prototype vehicle does not have interior trim, carpets, electric seats or cup holders.
When Trev was driven from Darwin to Adelaide in 2007, a small instrument fan was used to provide cooling for the driver. It was not terribly effective, and after half a day the team decided that cooling the motor controller was more important than cooling the driver, so the driver lost the fan. There was still some air movement though the cabin, through the small inlet in the nose, and leaking under the canopy.
Heating, cooling and ventilation are probably the most important cabin comforts required. Ventilation is reasonably easy to provide. Heating and cooling are more difficult, and require significant power.
